Meet Our Residents

Adrienne Swale’s Story: Finding Peace and Safety in a New Home

"I'm a 58 year old woman that's disabled now. It ain't too much to tell, I stay in the house, but I'm working on doing physical therapy so I can be able to get around more. I love it, it's much quieter, I feel less threatened, I'm not afraid to walk the streets. So it's a good thing."

"I love everything about my apartment. It's just enough space for me. I love the color that was on my wall when I moved in. I love my bathroom, I love my kitchen, I love everything about this place. The quietness, the security."

Chantel Elkerson’s Story: A Secure Community for Our Seniors

"My name is Chantel Elkerson, and I live alone with three cats. I'm really happy here. Everything's okay, everything's working well. I love this place, I really do. The area is nice, it's very quiet, and I get along with everybody here. It's good to have affordable housing, and I feel supported. I just love it here."

Gary Crawford’s Story: Finding Safety and Stability in a Quiet Community

"It's a nice, quiet area. I can walk the streets without worrying or looking over my shoulder every minute. Living here has changed me a lot, giving me a safe environment. The neighborhood is calm, and I like it that way—I don't like a lot of noise. It's affordable housing, and it gives people a place to stay and a sense of security. Plus, I have access to grocery stores and transportation through programs like Metro Access. It's been really beneficial."
